ABSTRACT
I have designed the diagnostic criteria for the dissociative subtype of schizophrenia so that they could easily be incorporated in a future edition of the DSM. I have used the same format and language as that for the other subtypes. The criteria set is polythetic as opposed to monothetic. This means that a certain number of items must be present out of a list of items but no items are absolutely required.
