ABSTRACT

The single most revolutionary principle of the psychotherapy of dissociative schizophrenia is talking to the voices. This is simply not done in contemporary psychiatry. The model of schizophrenia does not allow it. Within contemporary biological psychiatry, the symptoms of schizophrenia have no psychological meaning or purpose. There is no need to perform a microdetailed mental status examination because the findings have no influence on diagnosis, the theory of etiology, treatment planning, or the design of research protocols.
