ABSTRACT

There are many reasons behind the recent interest in written language learning processes. On the one hand, this interest can be regarded as an expansion in a psychopedagogical direction of the interest in written language shown in many fields, particularly anthropological and historical research. On the other hand, there is a socioeducational motive related to the periodic bouts of alarm regarding the state of literacy among schoolchildren of all levels.
