ABSTRACT

The Latter-day Saint groups are all products of the new revelation received by Joseph Smith, Jr., beginning in the 1820s. The basic revelation is contained in the Book of Mormon, with supplementary material in several other books, the Doctrines and Covenant and the Pearl of Great Price. He also began a new edited version of the Bible, the Inspired Version, which is used by some of the groups that resulted from the new religious current he unleashed.
