ABSTRACT

Listed below are international, continental, and national Christian ecumenical organizations in which American churches participate. Some are traditional family groupings in which, for example, American Baptists will participate with Baptists around the world in creating the Baptist World Alliance. Others, such as the World Council of Churches, draw members from across denominational family lines. The spectrum of American Protestantism is represented in the National Council of Churches (liberal Protestantism), National Association of Evangelicals (Evangelicalism), and American Council of Christian Churches (separatist Fundamentalism).
