ABSTRACT
Written by a monk of Auxerre, Ansellus of Rheims, scholasticus, of Fleury, in Latin verse by order of Odon, abbot of Saint-Germain d’Auxerre. Older prose version dates from between 1032 and 1052; version in octosyllabic couplets is of a later but uncertain date. It is suggested that the vision was experienced by Odon himself.
