Cetniks There were two resistance organizations in Axisoccupied Yugoslavia: Tito’s Communist partisans (qq.v.), who ended the war in firm control of the country, and the Cetniks, named after Serbian guerrillas who resisted previous Turkish and Bul garian occupations and who remained loyal to the legitimate prewar government.
