V ibration can occur as part o f the natu ral h um an env ironm en t, as in the low frequency earth rum blings from waterfalls, and h igh frequency rattles from the w in d and so on. As a hazard, how ever, it has arisen th ro u g h technological developm ent and is found in association w ith the use o f tools, equipm ent, and vehicles. T he v ib ra tio n th at is so generated is transm itted from the v ib ra tin g object to the bo d y surface, and in to or th ro u g h the b ody tissues.
