Legal Regulations of the Continuing Care Retirement Community Industry as a Whole
This chapter describes in relatively general terms some of the more technical aspects of legal regulation of the life care or continuing care industry.
Three different areas are covered. First, there is a description about what exists around the country in terms of regulation of the continuing care industry. Second, some apprehensions are reported about the state of the law in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Finally, there is a general discussion about why regulation is important and why it appears to be something with which we either fortunately or unfortunately have to be concerned.
