ABSTRACT
The 1950s. Ray, a director who had made a name for himself directing kitchen sink dramas, is hired to direct a play starring the hugely experienced, megalomaniac and selfinvolved actress, Lorraine Barrie. Throughout the rehearsal period Lorraine has behaved irresponsibly, arriving late for rehearsals, upsetting other members of the cast and generally behaving like a ‘star’.
