ABSTRACT
What is meant by a 'Drive'? It is believed that Laban did not just use the term in the way that psychologists use it, as a means of motivating behaviour, but also saw the Drives in terms of movement structure. Each Drive is a map in which different motion factors are combined; atoms of movements developing into molecular combinations which have four different characteristic behaviour patterns: Action, Vision, Spell and Passion Drives.
