ABSTRACT

The present research, employing a sample of CCRC residents and waiting list respondents, is part of a longitudinal study examining factors related to adjustment o a CCRC. The specific questions addressed by the present investigation are: What differences exist between residents and persons on the waiting list for a CCRC? What are the reasons why older persons choose to move to a CCRC? What factors are involved in the decision-making process in deciding to move to a CCRC? Are there social and personality factors that are related to the decision to move?
