ABSTRACT
There are a great number of books, especially biographies and articles, which cover the lives and work of the composers, who ranged from the giants of American and British popular music (such as Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, Noel Coward and Ivor Novello) to film and mood music composers (such as Robert Farnon, Eric Coates and Charles Williams).
