ABRAMs, Muhal Richard (1930-) Jazz musician, composer, and administra. tor Based in Chicago and later in New York, Abrams wrote arrangements for saxophonist King Fleming and played with MJT +3, Miles DAVIS, and Max ROACH. He started the Experimental Band (961) and the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians 0965} His work reflected interests in many fields such as FREE JAZZ and stride piano.
