ABSTRACT

The OECD economic surveys, which are published annually for every member country, provide the most reliable and objective assessments of current Greek economic activity. These surveys each have three sections: “recent trends and shortprospects”, “macroeconomic and structural policies”, and a third section devoted to special economical issues. The first section focuses on microeconomic activity (such as labour market) in contrast with the second one, which analyses the success and socioeconomic consequences of fiscal, monetary, and structural policy. The special topics in the last two issues, for example, were the public healthcare system and the progress of the structural reforms implemented in the financial and health sectors.
