ABSTRACT

BERLINGER, GLICK & RODGERS also analyse job enrichment in terms of its mixed empirical findings. A brief, but thorough, review of the research literature on job enrichment is presented, and a meta-analysis is conducted that examines the relationship between job characteristics and on-the-job performance. Results of the meta-analysis generally support the positive influence of job enrichment on employee performance. The implications of the study and suggestions for future research are also presented.
