ABSTRACT

culture, strategy, structure, and the general working environment. The weakest parts of the book are the last two sections covering more politicized issues like trade unions, worker participation, and the gender pay gap. These chapters could have been replaced with essays on reward systems and bargaining, resulting in a more rounded book. The final section, which covers worker participation, suffers from the general bias towards worker participation schemes that is found in academia, despite a large amount of evidence that illustrates that they neither work nor produce a more satisfied and productive workforce.
