ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the growth of and prospects for Venezuela’s iron ore industry against a background of revolutionary technological and economic changes spanning all phases of world iron ore development, with particular emphasis on the relations between the foreign companies and the host government. It also includes an analysis of the industry’s impact on the nation’s economy. 1
