ABSTRACT
The strength of the case study approach lies in wealth of detail that can be accumulated and the understanding that may be arrived at. A close look at a situation may lead to conclusions quite different from those that result from a broader look or from more generalized data. The weakness of the case study approach is that the cases chosen for study may not be broadly representative of their class but, instead, unusual or special in critical aspects.
