ABSTRACT

It would have been easy to take our foot off the pedal, pat ourselves on the back and relax at the end of our inclusion project, Inclusive Multimedia ICT. After all, the project had been very successful; the pupils had made good progress; the partner school staff, parents and governors were positive about their involvement. The CLC staff were satisfied that the Centre had successfully included a group of youngsters and provided them with the chance to develop skills and resources for a wide range of learners. But we would have failed our students if we had relaxed. The whole point of the pilot was to start to develop a curriculum for pupils with the most severe learning needs in partnership with all schools with specialist provision. The hard work was yet to come.
