An introduction to writing The ability to write in a clear and unambiguous manner is a valuable skill in any walk of life, but it is particularly important for a student in HE who is expected to communicate clearly some quite complex material.This chapter concentrates on some fundamental writing skills such as paragraphing, sentence structure, punctuation and spelling rules which, once mastered, should enable you to write with style and economy.
