ABSTRACT

People with physical disabilities need to be able to access music in as many different ways as possible. A hi-fi deck or television can be independently controlled by a switch. Pupils with limited arm and hand movements can have instruments attached to arms or legs using Velcro straps or be positioned so they can hit or shake a musical instrument with hands or feet. They need to experience a wide variety of music and develop their own taste. Adults must take care to respect another person’s choice and not always impose their own taste of music on others.
