ABSTRACT
A question related to asthma and recurrent wheezing should be included in the school’s admission form.
Parents who state that their child has this condition should be asked more detailed questions related to the condition and the required treatment (see Appendices 2 and 3 for a sample ‘letter to parents’ and ‘Asthma record’).
The pupil’s name should be added to the School Asthma Register.
The completed form should then be stored in the school’s recording system.
The information should be updated by parents or when medication is changed.
