ABSTRACT

Scientific consensus has been growing that climate change is happening, that it is caused by the global warming created by greenhouse gases – primarily carbon dioxide – produced by human activity, that its effects are being felt already, and that most of its consequences are negative for today’s societies. There are some scientists who question each of these conclusions, but observed changes in the climate in different parts of the world are consistent with the theories, models and projections of global warming, and are not adequately explained by any alternative theories and models.
