ABSTRACT
The good performance of France among OECD donor countries, second to Japan in volume and first in percentage of GNP among the G7, should not hide the reality of French Public Aid for Development (ODA) in 1995: like most members of the OECD Development Assistance Committee the French government reduced its public spending and, by the same token, its development assistance.
