Teaching Styles, Learning, and Curricular Choice

In this final section of the book, we move towards possible applications of the ideas discussed in Parts II and III to a variety of pedagogical problems. In Chapter 12 we shall look back to the model originally outlined in Chapter 5 and discuss implications for education at different age-ranges. In this chapter we examine contrasting ideas on education and teaching which can be as polarized as the distinctions met previously between Style A and Style B thinking, and consider the possible effects of alternative styles of teaching on pupils' attempts at learning.
