ABSTRACT

The next task for the coordinating group is to produce a draft policy based on the agreements reached and the consensus developed during the training day. This writing up meets a basic human need to see effort translated into a tangible outcome. People have a need to ‘get something in writing’. It is our experience that it is important to emphasise the draft or experimental nature of the policy. The task is to produce a policy that has solidity but which will be tested out, reviewed, talked about and then improved before becoming a more formalised document.
