ABSTRACT
Mathematics education can be problematic for many parents and unfortunately the new approach to mathematics outlined in the National Numeracy Strategy may not improve this initially, although it is clearly seen as important by the Department for Education and Employment (DfEE). In this chapter we address the issues for schools attempting to improve their links with parents. We examine how these links are made and examine their importance.
