Key research issues in SEN
In Chapter 1 we raised a number of issues which appear regularly as points of debate for educational research, and which have particular implications for schoolbased research in the areas of SEN and inclusion. We now consider these issues under five broad headings (Figure 2.1):
• linking research and practice;
• values issues; • managing and facilitating school-based research; • methodological issues; • moving towards researchable questions.
