ABSTRACT
Children who are ready to work within band four of the English curriculum have good basic receptive and expressive language skills. They will be linking their ideas into complex sentences and show an ability to both understand and use verbal reasoning. Most significantly, when children reach this level they are now able to relate to language out of context.
