ABSTRACT
By the end of this chapter you will:
recognise the interdependence between behaviour, achievement and SEN;
understand why some pupils behave inappropriately;
be more aware of some of the strategies you can adopt to minimise unwanted behaviour;
be clear about the importance of (i) the whole-school behaviour policy and (ii) the need to provide opportunities for pupils to participate in managing their own behaviour.
