ABSTRACT
Effective use of questionnaires in research is predicated upon careful deliberation about conceptual aims, the information that is required to fulfil these aims, the resources available, the population sample, type of questionnaire, questionnaire construction, the administration of the questionnaire and analysis of data collected. The nature of the research question, the identified data required to answer the question and the resources available will generally determine the type of questionnaire that the researcher will employ.
