A yearly planner
The first task was to put together a list of all the jobs that had to be carried out during the year. These were as follows:
• Pupil assessment - screen tests and individual diagnostic tests. • SEN register - updating of the register. • IEPs - writing/updating. • Preparation for reviews - initiation and collation of required paperwork. • The review itself - the meeting. • Post-review action - initiating action required and completion of relevant
paperwork. • Meetings with outside agencies with regard to pupils with SEN or school
support for staff. • Organisation/evaluation of the school's support for pupils with SEN. • Monitoring/ evaluation/action in respect of SEN provision. • SEN policy documentation review. • Reports to governors. • In-service training and education (INSET).
