The Process of Change and the Politics of Resistance in Educational Contexts: The Case of Disability

This chapter is based on the belief that the process of change in education demands inclusion policies to be considered with respect to the larger education policy context. Inclusive policy practices and discourses strike at the heart of the endemic tensions and contradictions inherent within mass education as a whole and this is one of the many reasons of explaining why the process of change towards more inclusive schooling practices has proved to be an extremely complex task.
