ABSTRACT
Behaviour management, including approaches to dealing with bullying, is now generally included in the initial training of teachers and in the newer courses created for teaching assistants. For trainees preparing to enter teaching, one of the areas of greatest concern is the management of behaviour. They will need to create the right kind of learning environment and develop the working relationships necessary to sustain confidence and motivation for learning for the individual and the group.
