Buying a Lighthouse Tender

This preliminary trip over, and arrangements for furthering the work having been completed, the necessity for a steamship for the lighthouse service became apparent. I was instructed to report to the Government in Tokio, whenever the opportunity of purchasing one properly fitted for the purpose should arise.
