ABSTRACT
Location: The main sector of Ịstanbul is located on the Bulgarian peninsula, on that portion of Turkey that lies to the European side of the Bosporus Strait, south of the inland waterway called the Golden Horn. The walls of Ịstanbul stretch from the Golden Horn to the Sea of Marmara, four and one-half miles to the south.
