ABSTRACT
Close to the Algerian border with Tunis in the western Aurès Mountains; about fifty kilometers from Tebessa (formerly Theveste) in Algeria, and about 150 kilometers from the Mediterranean coast to the north. It is about 250 kilometers from Tunis and from the Gulf of Gabès.
