ABSTRACT
MARTYN NAYLOR has spent much of his working life in Japan in public relations. He became honorary secretary of the Japan-British Society in Tokyo in 1968, a post which he continues to fill in 2000. His impressions of Japan in the 1960s and 1970s are a reminder of the important role played by the Japan-British Society:
