ABSTRACT

Meanwhile, the situation in Yugoslavia had generated many difficulties in Soviet relations with Britain and the USA. Moreover, the Soviet Union was unable to provide direct material support to Tito's partisans, organised as the National Liberation Army of Yugoslavia. On the eve of Molotov's meeting with Nincic, relations between the USSR and the King's Government of Yugoslavia left much to be desired, but the Soviet leadership, taking into consideration the position of Britain and the USA, tried not to aggravate their relations with Yugoslavia.
