ABSTRACT
We have no source available that can provide us with detailed, comprehensive information on the attitude of the Jewish communities of Babylonia and Perśia to the Muslim conquest. Nor do the sources supply detailed information on the relations between the Bedouin-Muslim conquering army and the Jewish population. 1 Exceptions are “The story of Bustanai” and a few Muslim sources which are the subject of this consideration. 2
