ABSTRACT

“We decided to live in New York City because I could get jobs teaching,” Bonnie said. “Martha Graham and other people in my field were very supportive. I got a well-paid job for three days a week at Cherry Lawn School in Darien, Connecticut, a private boarding school with a good reputation. I also taught at the Graham Studio, in city-run child welfare training centers, and I plunged right back into choreographing and producing a new work which was performed at Hunter College.”
