ABSTRACT
I N T H E preceding chapter a theory of communication was bu i l t up starting from i r r i t ab i l i ty and adaptive action at the very simplest level, and advancing through the phenomena of codification up to the phenomena of mutual awareness of perception. W i t h this last element the theory begins to describe human relations.
