ABSTRACT

Human rights to honour and dignity should be provided by system of guarantees: material, political, ideological. The major aspect of the contents of dignity is in consciousness of absence of compulsion, that is, consciousness of freedom. During different historical epochs the contents of concept "dignity of a person" was changing. There are two aspects of the category "dignity" in the law and in jurisprudence. The first is human dignity as one of basic principles of the law. The second aspect is honour and dignity as a legal right belonging to the separate person. The subjective moment of dignity is comprehension by an individual of the value as person in general as certain person as representative of certain social group. Humanistic ethics recognize that idea of human dignity means a concept of a person of the maximum, with what incomparable value.
