ABSTRACT
Davy, Georges (1883-1976). French sociologist who did much as editor to reestablish the famous publication founded by Durkheim, L’Année Sociologique. His contributions to the sociology of law include La foi jurée, 1922. Recteur de l’Académie de Rennes 1931-8, he became Doyen de la Faculté des Lettres firstly at Dijon and then in 1950 at Paris.
