ABSTRACT

The second-semester flagship project is to have a new twist: the team will plan it themselves. As early as January we begin discussing what populations we would like to serve, and the two groups that arouse the most interest among team members are veterans and immigrants. Tony suggests we do some research before choosing between the two. We begin the process while still working in Cambridge, setting aside Thursday afternoons for research and planning. Tony arranges for the team to begin by meeting with representatives of two agencies that serve immigrants and two agencies that serve veterans so that we can interview them about the needs of each group and explore the kind of service opportunities we might find in each field.
