ABSTRACT
The month of January is set aside for individual internships, much the way some high schools and colleges have an "intersession" between the fall and spring semesters. During November and December, corps members are encouraged to select from a list of internships compiled by City Year's education director, or to cast about for internship opportunities in a field of their choice. They are required either to work in a public or not-for-profit agency, or to find work that will help them advance toward a career or educational goal. City Year continues to pay their stipends during January. Reebok Team members spend the month in a wide variety of jobs:
