Environmental space provides a sustainable context for human action while preserving the natural basis for life, with each generation bequeathing to the next an Earth full of possibility. Within this framework of stewardship there are many options for positive action. The previous two chapters explained why and how to assess our world’s available environmental space as a means of progressing towards sustainable societies.
