ABSTRACT
When I first went to the church, the first words which I heard from it were these: “Strip off your pride & abomination. We know you and you do not know us. We have men here that are not defiled with women; & women that are not defiled with men.” This was uttered by Mary Partington. 1 The next day I went to see Mother, & to the inquiry where my husband was, Mother said “Let your husband alone, fastening your lust upon him.”
