ABSTRACT

Being now in the 61st year of my age and not knowing how short my time may be and being earnestly solicited I feel it my duty to leave behind me a few <words> of precious councel from our everblessed parents which I have treasured up from my youth The councel of Mother Ann and the Elders with her is published in the testimonies such as confess and forsake your sins repent and turn to God right all your wrongs cease to do evil and learn to do well speak the truth and shame the devil keep a conscience void of offense toward God and all men cleanse your hearts from all sin and your house from every unclean thing keep your door-yards barns and stables clean and in good order be zealous in the work of God be faithful with your hands for every good believer will always find something to do and if you gain more of this world’s goods then for your own support beware of covetousness and remember the poor you have always with you and good you may do them when ever you will
